Our wild, Texan trek through the “Lone Star State” will capture the legend of the American Cowboy. Travel through Indian country to the Alamo,experience the Stockyards at Fort Worth and ride the Tarantula steam train. You’ll also have time to explore historic Dallas.
Your Holiday Itinerary
DAY 1: Join the flight to Dallas. Transfer to Waco, nicknamed 'Six Shooter', for a one night stay.
DAY 2: We kick off our Texas Trail with a trip through Austin, the Texas capital, and a visit to the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum. Learn the enchanting history of the Lone Star State, see the whole wild story unfold in the IMAX and Spirit of Texas Theatres and study 3 floors of fascinating exhibits. We then continue through hill country to beautiful San Antonio for two nights.
DAY 3: Our optional downtown city tour offers a not-to-be-missed trip to the historic Alamo mission to hear about its famous fall to the Mexicans.
DAY 4: Northwards through Indian country to Fort Worth, brimming with Western-style saloons,for three nights. We stop off for some bargain outlet shopping en route, but don't buy that cowboy hat just yet!
DAY 5: Go wild at the Fort Worth Stockyards with our excellent optional excursion - including a ride on the famous Tarantula steam train and a visit to the world's largest Honky Tonk.
DAY 6: Our optional Cowboys and Cowgirls excursion includes a tour of Fort Worth with a visit to the Cowgirl Museum & Hall of Fame. Then it's on to Billy Bob’s for a Texas dinner and rodeo!
DAY 7: Back to Dallas and the chance to explore the historic West End. Stand on the grassy knoll and see how history was changed when Kennedy was supposedly shot from the Book Depository at the Sixth Floor Museum. Later this evening, transfer to airport for an overnight flight to the UK.
DAY 8: Arrival at the airport.
