This fully escorted tour of northern India’s ‘Golden Triangle’ includes the imperial cities of Old and New Delhi, the pink city of Jaipur and the exquisite Taj Mahal - at sunrise and sunset. There’s also a three night stay in the ancient Desert Kingdom of Jordan, where we’ll visit the Rose Red City of Petra and Amman.

YOUR HOLIDAY ITINERARY

DAY 1. Join the direct flight to Amman. Due to the late arrival of the flight, hotel accommodation of at least a 3* equivalent will be provided close to the airport.

DAY 2. This morning we will travel to the ancient city of Jerash. Hidden for centuries in sand before being excavated and restored over the past 70 years, Jerash is now acknowledged to be one of the best preserved Roman provincial towns in the world. From here we continue to Ajloun, famed for its towering Arab-Islamic castle. This afternoon, we will transfer back to Amman Airport for the overnight flight to Delhi.

DAY 3. Early morning arrival at Delhi Airport where you will be transferred to your 4* hotel. This afternoon we include a fascinating city tour.

DAY 4. After breakfast, we leave Delhi and head for Agra, stopping en route at Sikandra - site of the mausoleum of Mughal Emporer Akbar. This afternoon we include a city tour of Agra, including the spectacular Agra Fort, before continuing to the Taj Mahal to admire this magical Indian icon at sunset.

DAY 5. With the images of the Taj Mahal at sunset still fresh in your mind, we will travel the short distance back to this amazing architectural feat to admire its beauty at sunrise. After this unforgettable experience, we will depart Agra for Jaipur, visiting the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri en route.

DAY 6. This morning, we travel to nearby Amber, the ancient Rajput capital, where we will visit the Amber Fort. The final part of your journey to the Fort is by elephant! This afternoon, join our city tour of Jaipur for a fascinating insight into this romantic city, including its most famous sight, the beautiful Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds).

DAY 7. Today we depart Jaipur and journey to Delhi, stopping en route at Neemrana Fort.

DAY 8. Time to leave India today as we travel to Delhi Airport for an early morning flight to the Jordanian capital, Amman. Upon arrival we will drive south to Jordan's arguably most sacred site - Mount Nebo. From here we travel to the remarkable Dead Sea, some 400 metres below sea level, where the salty waters offer an extraordinary level of buoyancy. Take this unique opportunity to float on the mineral laden waters, which are also said to have curative powers! We then continue on to the Rose Red City of Petra, for a one night stay.

DAY 9. Today we include a full day tour of aweinspiring city Petra. Later this afternoon, we will travel back to Amman, arriving at our hotel in time for dinner.

DAY 10. This morning we must bid farewell and transfer to Amman Airport in time for the flight to the UK. Upon arrival you will make your own way home.
