YOUR HOLIDAY ITINERARY
Day 1: Scheduled overnight flight to Nairobi.
Day 2: Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to the Outspan Hotel, Nyeri where lunch will be served on arrival. Perhaps take a relaxing and refreshing dip in the hotels outdoor pool or stroll in the picturesque tropical gardens.
Day 3: After breakfast we will transfer you to the Mountain Lodge, situated in the forests of Mount Kenya National Park. This afternoon you can enjoy extensive game viewing from the lodge balconies as various animals come to visit the waterhole and salt lick. Covering an area of 715 sq. km, Mount Kenya National Park is a pristine wilderness, home to a myriad of species including the Suni antelope, Mount Kenya mole rat, giant forest hog and genet cat - to name but a few!
Day 4: Today we continue to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving at our lodge in time for lunch. This afternoon we include a game drive into the woods and around Lake Nakuru, the most famous of the Great Rift Valley lakes and renowned for its magnificent birdlife. The park is a paradise for those with a particular interest in ornithology, but also offers the opportunity of seeing white rhino, leopard, large herds of buffalo and the rare Rothschilds giraffe.
Day 5: Early this morning we include a second game drive around Lake Nakuru National Park, followed by breakfast at the lodge. Mid morning we will depart and head to Lake Naivasha, arriving at our lodge in time for lunch. This afternoon we include an unmissable boat ride on the lake, where over 400 species of birds have been reported. The waters of the lake also draw a great range of game to these shores. Giraffes wander among the acacia, buffalo wallow in the swamps and Colobus monkeys call from the treetops while hippos sleep in the shallows.
Day 6: After breakfast we will depart and head across the floor of the Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara, arriving at our next lodge in time for lunch. This afternoon will be spent game viewing in the Masai Mara, justifiably one of the most famous reserves in Africa and home to an abundance of wildlife. Look out for giraffe, buffalo, zebra, eland, hartebeest and gazelle, as well as their natural predators - lion, leopard and cheetah!
Day 7: What is sure to be one of the highlights of your tour - a full day game drive in the Masai Mara National Park, with included picnic lunch. Not only will you be able to see a wide range of exotic animals in their natural habitat, but you may also notice colourfully attired Masai tribesmen herding cattle amongst the plains.
Day 8: More time to enjoy the magic of the Masai Mara National Park with included morning and afternoon game drives.
Day 9: After breakfast we will return to Nairobi where lunch is included at a local restaurant. From here we will transfer to the airport for the return overnight flight to the UK.
